2023 Elementary day camp schedule
Camp Tipton is an "old school" outdoor based Christian Camp. Below are the themed weeks for each week of elementary day camp this summer. Each week activities, games, and crafts will be revolving around the themes. On top of themed activities, each week campers will get to participate in some typical "normal" camp activities such as archery, BB gun shooting, rock climbing, and more. These activities are not solely exclusive to "The Great Adventure" week. On top of camp activities, on Tuesday/Thursdays we have water activities for campers in the evenings. Some examples are slip-n-slide, sponge dodgeball, drip-drip-drench, water kickball, and much more!
May 22 - May 26 Art Extravaganza: Have you ever painted with your toes? How about your elbows? Everyone is unique and creates differently but this is the week where we want to showcase your masterpiece. We will discover creation this week in the Bible as well!
May 30 - June 2 The Great Adventure*: This will have all the classics of summer camp such as archery, gagaball, rock climbing, the hiking trail, arts and crafts, fun games of tag and much more!
*Camp will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day
June 5 - June 9 Tipton’s Got Talent: It’s time to show off your best talents! This week will have skits, teach new skills, and end with a Camp Tipton Talent Show.
June 12 - June 16 Home Town Heroes: Time to celebrate and learn about heroes in our town! Get to see firetrucks, military vehicles, and police officers with their dogs!
June 19 - June 23 Myth Busters: Is that really how it happened? Does it really work that way? Campers will spend the week doing exciting experiments to find out if, how, when, why and where science and legend intersect.
June 26 - June 30 Game Show Mania: I’ll take “Best Camp Ever” for $100, Alex. In this camp, campers will have the opportunity to play some of their favorite game shows and relive some of their favorite moments. Show them what they’ve won! Campers will also have the opportunity to play some board and card games!
July 3 - July 7 Sports Spectacular*: During this week, we will explore different sports games with our campers. Frisbee golf, football, kickball, basketball, soccer, and even some less known sports will be played this week! **Camp will be closed July 4th for independence day.
*Camp will be closed July 4 for Independence Day
July 10 - July 14 Camp H2O: It’s so hot! Milk was a bad choice! That’s why this week, we will have water every day! Campers will cool down by playing various water games, ending with a splash pad or a pool field trip.
July 17 - July 21 Spirit Week: This will be a week of dressing up and competition! Rep your local schools, sports teams, holidays, career path, and much more! Each day will be themed and teams will compete against each other in relays, competitions, and activities.
July 24 – July 28 Kitchen Chaos: It’s all about the food! This week we will learn about different foods that impact our lives and how we can use our cooking talents to serve others. There is sure to be some cookin’, so be prepared to get a little...MESSY!
