Camp Tipton partners with the church and mission groups by
providing a comprehensive approach in the task of making disciples.

MISSION

To introduce children and youth to Jesus Christ through camping ministries and to engage in local evangelism in home repair ministry, tourist hospitality ministry, and service at locations such as Baptist Centers, food pantries/markets, and other such opportunities.

VALUES

  • People who do not have a faith-relationship with Jesus Christ are our ultimate focus
  • God is at work throughout the world bringing people to Himself. Our efforts will fit His priority
  • How we live is more important to God than what we say
  • Our creed is Honoring God, Serving Others, Sharing Christ

PURPOSE

  • To utilize the resources that God has placed in our care in ways that will introduce people to Jesus Christ

VISION

  • Everything that we do will reflect God’s priority of drawing people to Himself through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  We are most focused on relationship evangelism - like Jesus with the woman at the well, we want to focus on each person as an individual and find ourselves more concerned with their needs than our desire to "share the Gospel".  We believe that the Holy Spirit will provide ample opportunities for us to share if our focus is as Christ's was - on the person.

GOALS

  • To strive for excellence in all our endeavors
  • To present a clear evangelistic message through camp, resort, and home repair ministries
  • To develop camp programs, facilities, and personnel with the specific purpose of introducing children and youth and all other we meet to Jesus Christ
  • To encourage Christian youth to have God’s heart to draw others to Jesus Christ
  • To provide an environment for spiritual growth for our staff and visiting mission teams

PRIORITIES

  • Honor God, Serve Others, Share Christ
  • Develop a comprehensive ministry plan that emphasizes introducing people to Jesus Christ who have little or no Christian heritage
  • Provide maintenance to existing facilities that will attract church and secular groups
  • Secure funding for, and invest in personnel, programming, and facilities that will move Camp Tipton to become financially self-sufficient
  • Participate in global evangelization by training and supporting student missionaries and visiting mission teams
