Camp Tipton is able to host your mission team in four ways that helps you be equipped to glorify Christ in the Blount County area. We offer on site lodging, showers, meals, night time activities, worship, for only $250 per person! If you are looking for a place to bring your church or group on a mission trip, there is additional information under the "mission trip information" tab directly to the right.
Day Camp: Camp Tipton hosts two on-site day camps for children from our community! Our Day Camp outreaches to campers Kindergarten through 6th grade and our Middle School Adventure Camp outreaches to campers 6th through 8th grade. Each week is a new and interesting theme and your team can partner with our staff to make the week come alive. Come and help us build relationships with some pretty amazing campers! Construction and Repair: Whether your group is skilled contractors or new to construction we can put together a trip for you! Some of the projects we have conquered in the past include painting, roofing, constructing handicap ramps, and many more. These projects can take place in Camp Tipton to further our ministry or be used as outreach to families in need in our community. Evangelism: East Tennessee is nestled in a heavy tourist region and Camp Tipton is no exception. Hospitality ministry is a popular choice amongst a wide range of groups. Groups in the past have set up an outreach to campgrounds, popular hiking spots, “The Dragon” and other tourist locations. *The Dragon is an 11-mile stretch of Highway 129 crossing Deals Gap that contains 318 curves. It is considered by many as one of the world’s foremost motorcycling and sportscar roads and it’s right in our backyard! Along the road are outlooks to observe scenery and they provide a great point of outreach to travelers. In the past we have encountered travelers from all over the world! One Body Ministry is another evangelism opportunity available to your group. Camp Tipton operates as a member of the Chilhowee Baptist Association and One Body Ministry. We can partner your group with one of our local churches to reach the local community through VBS, block parties, and much more. Community Outreach: We can connect you with some of our local partners to reach East Tennessee. Some of these partners include Second Harvest Food Bank, The Welcome Table, Habitat for Humanity, The Chilhowee Baptist Center and many more! |
