Still in high school? No problem! There is still an opportunity for you to serve. Camp employees who are 16 or older are paid in a weekly stipend for their service, and 14 years of age are permitted to work to gain volunteer experience. Summer Camp Ministerial PositionsJunior Counselor - Christians that are 16+ and completed their sophomore year of high-school that would like to assist senior counselors in day camp. You will learn to lead games, bible studies, crafts, and much more depending on your strengths. You have the option of lodging at camp and meals during the week are provided. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct.
Counselor in Training - Christians that are 14-15 years of age that have just finished their freshman year of high-school and are meant to learn to become a junior counselor. Must be hard working and love camp atmosphere. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. Volunteer position. Maintenance Worker - Must be 16+ and have a desire to serve your local community. Focuses on upkeep of camp through mowing, weed-eating, and other various activities. Has the option of lodging at camp with meals provided during weekdays. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. Cook - Cooks breakfast, lunch, or dinner for various groups. This includes mission teams, retreats, and camp food. Must have knowledge of cooking for groups and serving sizes. Schedule varies based on what time food is needed and need of each group. summer Camp Ministerial & Leadership positionsAssistant Camp Director - Summer only position. Assists director with managing all aspects of camp such as financials, landscaping, bible studies, food pickup, cooking, managing resources and leading counselors, overnight camp, mission teams, and many other various day-to-day tasks. Needs to be very comfortable leading counselors, teaching biblical principles, and with camp ministry. 10 week plus training commitment. We can provide housing/food during your stay.
Day Camp Director - Strong Christian leader that is directly over the day camp counselors and middle schoolers during service weeks. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. Ensures that day camp activities/field trips are planned and coordinated with each weeks themes. This person is the point of contact with parents during summer and ensures general safety of campers. 10 week commitment. We can provide housing/food on the weekdays during your stay. Middle School Camp Director - Strong Christian leader that is directly in charge of planning the curriculum for middle school adventure weeks. Must be knowledgeable and passionate about outdoor activities such as trekking, kayaking, rock climbing, and other various outdoor skills. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. This is a 5 week commitment. We can provide housing/food the weekdays during your stay. Senior Counselor - Growing Christian leaders that are confident with leading day camp activities. This includes outdoor games, crafts, bible studies, and more. Assists day camp director in planning curriculum and helps teach junior counselors and counselors in training how to lead children. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. Must be 17+ and graduated from high school. 10 week commitment. You have the option of staying on site overnight in a cabin. Food/lodging provided during weeks. Overnight Counselor - Growing Christian leaders that are confident with leading day camp activities. This includes outdoor games, crafts, bible studies, and more. Able to lead prayer, bible stories, gospel presentations, and able to communicate religious beliefs to campers. Be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions consistent with a daily walk with Christ. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must be able to uphold Camp Tipton's statement of faith and code of conduct. Must be 17+ and graduated from high school. This is a one or two week committment. You are required to stay on site with campers. |
